Life is a journey you take toward owning your story. Unfortunately, we often encounter obstacles that distort our perspective and hinder our ability to see ourselves accurately and move toward the things that bring us the most joy and peace. Whether you’ve been derailed by traumatic life events, depression and anxiety, disordered eating, addiction, grief, spiritual abuse, or other life altering transitions, it is my belief that you can find a meaningful life living into the fullest expression of who you are.
As a therapist, I believe in the strength and resiliency at the core of each individual who I walk beside on this path of uncovering unhelpful patterns, unpacking past beliefs, and constructing new ways of thinking and being in the world. This journey takes grit. It takes asking hard questions and navigating obstacles while making meaning of the struggle. Together, we will work through thoughts, behaviors, challenging emotions, relational patterns, resources, skills, and strengths to own your story and live a life of purpose.
After years of working with eating disorders, trauma, mood disorders, and substance abuse in an acute care setting, I offer a specialized approach to healing in these areas and others, incorporating the body and mind to find holistic healing as we work together using narrative, interpersonal, psychodynamic, Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other skills based approaches.
Brene Brown says, “When we own our story, we have the ability to write the ending.” It is my belief that by understanding where you’ve come from, you can carve out a new path of growth and change, integrating the mind and body as you build the life you want. Whatever you are seeking from this process, it is my passion that no one take this journey alone and it is my honor to walk this path with you.
